Jean-Claude Brialy (born 30 March, 1933) was a leading member of the new generation of actors who helped define the attitude and character of the Nouvelle Vague. Known for his charm, sophistication and sardonic wit, Brialy appeared in over 180 films for such directors as Claude Chabrol, Eric Rohmer, Jean-Luc Godard, Francois Truffaut, Louis Malle and Agnes Varda.
