Anne Wiazemsky (14 May 1947 - 5 October 2017) was only 18 when Robert Bresson cast her as the lead in Au hazard Balthazar (1966). On the set she met, and later fell in love and married, Jean-Luc Godard. In all she appeared in six of his films, beginning with her starring role as the student revolutionary leader in La Chinoise (1967).
